The Faubourg Marigny, commonly just Marigny, is a hip neighborhood just "below" (down river from) the French Quarter. It has the air of what the French Quarter was a generation or two ago before there was so much tourist development. It has a few small hotels and many bed-and-breakfasts, as well as a number of good restaurants, coffee shops, and music venues. Part of the city's old high ground, it fortunately escaped the worst of the post-Katrina disaster.
Under the current Regency of a Nosferatu known as Sundown, it is well known that no one feeds on Frenchman Street or the blocks surrounding it without his express permission.
This area boasts places such as:
Marigny Manor House This house in the Faubourg Marigny District is 5 blocks from the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, and the French Market.
All guest rooms have private bathrooms, private entrances, cable TV and VCRs; decor includes antique furniture.
Marigny Manor House offers a daily complimentary breakfast served in the dining room, and a living room with fireplace.
(Vampires, Werewolves, and Fae can all be accomodated)
